Who we are
Auto Discord Translator is a Chrome extension that auto-detects language and translates Discord chat in place. Contact: support@discordtranslator.app.
What the extension does
The extension only runs on discord.com. When translation is needed, chat text you see (or text you ask to translate before sending) is sent through our service to a translation provider and returned to your browser.
Data we process
- Chat text for translation — sent through our service to a translation provider to produce a translation. We do not store message content.
- Usage counts — basic character usage so Free/Pro limits can be enforced.
- License status — a short-lived record of license status (on the order of hours) to confirm Pro / Own Key access without checking our payment provider on every request.
- On-device translations (Pro / Own Key) — translated strings may be kept in your browser so repeated text is instant and uses fewer characters. Free users do not get this.
- Payments — handled by our payment provider. We receive what we need to issue and validate license keys; card details stay with the payment provider.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not store Discord message content in our database.
- We do not run the extension outside discord.com.
Service providers
We use service providers for hosting, translation, email, and payments. They process data only as needed to run the product (for example, returning a translation, delivering your license key, or completing checkout).
Cookies & local storage
This marketing site does not use advertising cookies. The Chrome extension uses browser extension storage for settings, license state, and (for paid plans) recent translations kept on your device for speed.
Data retention
Usage aggregates are kept as needed to enforce weekly/monthly limits. License status entries expire and are refreshed when you use the product. On-device translations stay on your device until you clear extension data or uninstall.
Your choices
You can uninstall the extension at any time. For purchase or license questions, email support@discordtranslator.app. You may also manage your subscription via the customer portal linked from your purchase email.
Children
The product is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
